WANT TO PARTICIPATE?

We are currently recruiting adult participants (over 18 years old) for the following two studies. Please note all study activities would take place in your own home.

1) The Snacking Study explores the eating patterns of individuals with dementia and/or Parkinson’s Disease. To participate, you must: 

– Be a person with dementia and/or Parkinson’s Disease living at home
– Live in Oregon
– Have a consistent caregiver who can assist
– Have access to a smartphone 

Eligible participants will photo journal meals for about 2 weeks, complete remote interviews and questionnaires, and may also participate in a two-month trial of a new type of snack food. Compensation and a nutritional intake report will be provided. Benefits may also include an in-home swallowing evaluation and/or one or more nutrition-focused physical exams.

2) The Family Caregiver Study explores the needs of family members caring for people with dementia. To participate, you must: 

– Be a caregiver for a family member (or chosen family member) with dementia
– Have been caregiving for at least 2 months
– Live at home with the care recipient
– Not be paid for the care provided
– Live in the US or Canada

Eligible participants will complete a 30-minute online survey and receive a $40 gift card.
